Impacts of My Work: 
In the eight communities 14 months after the initial workshops, it was estimated over 4500 Ekwuk stoves had been built.
A quantitative survey which found that the average Ekwuk stove saved at least 2610 lbs or 14 cubic meters of fire wood per year
Roughly speaking, these stoves have the potential to reduce firewood usage and CO2 emissions by over 10,000 tons/year.

My Story: 

I am working as a researcher at the International Center for Energy, Environment and Development in Abuja.   I am on a number of climate change and clean energy initatives. I also work with the local leaders of this project to obtain carbon credits from their scale-up efforts.
