The Wild Gift experience gave me the supportive boost I needed to branch out and explore my passion in helping sustainability groups advocate for change. It is the combination of the awesome mountainous trek with inspiring people followed by the months of mentoring that makes this project so worthwhile for young environmental leaders. Thank you Wild Gift for this opportunity.
My Story:
- I provide training and facilitation to advocacy organizations across North America, including Greenpeace USA, TTCriders, the Sierra Youth Coalition, and OPIRG.
- I work as a trainer with the Ruckus Society.
- I teach in the non profit and voluntary sector management and politics and public administration departments at Ryerson University
- I co-founded and run a training program called Tools for Change, which offers advocacy training to groups across Toronto.
- I completed my masters degree in Adult Education and Community Development at the University of Toronto as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar.
- I am an advisory board member for the non-profit Earthroots.
- I lead political campaigns that champion economic, environmental and social justice.
