A note on project categories: Wild Gift believes that human development must be in balance with the values and resources of wild nature. As such, leader projects range across the spectrum of what can be called 'sustainable human development’. Leaders tackle issues of sustainability in fields that directly affect all species and those more uniquely human.
Typically, the overall impact of any leader project includes several areas of sustainability. Leaders may remain directly involved with their original project after its first year of launch with Wild Gift or move on to another area of sustainability work. Therefore, we've placed the leader beneath that category where her or his current project has the most impact.
