The mission of Allison’s – Go Green – project is to establish a community with resources that can help women learn how they can become better stewards for our planet in their daily lives and to encourage those women to go out and inspire other women and men alike. With a platform of ‘Go Green! Global Warming Awareness’ Alli built on her recognition as Miss Rhode Island 2006 and winner of the Miss America Quality of Life Award for her platform to help popularize ‘going green’ among women. Alli was one of the first 50 people trained by former Vice President Al Gore to present on global warming as part of The Climate Project. She continues to influence women through her pageant contacts. Most recently she ran a workshop on going green for the New England States Pageant Conference and the Chairman of the Miss America Organization that included a separate workshop on going green while competing. Allison is currently a Sustainability Cnsultant and Program Manager for Washington’s ‘Green the Capitol” initiative, and recently received her Masters in Sustinability Education and Organizational Leadership at Harvard.
