Drew’s Wild Gift project – Enabling Citizens –located in Charlottesville, VA was a partnership project with Urban Vision of Charlottesville. While associated with Urban Vision Drew provided 45, K-5 children from Friendship Court, a federally subsidized housing project in an impoverished neighborhood of Charlottesville four unique field trips whose dialogue focused on wildness, sustainability and citizenship. Drew’s teachings have been incorporated into the Urban Vision program at Friendship Court. Drew left Charlottesville to become the Associate Director of the Blaine County/Ketchum City Housing Authority in Idaho where he was involved with creating solutions for the affordable housing problem in the resort communities of Blaine County which serve Sun Valley, Idaho. Most recently, Drew worked for the Urban Land Institute in Galveston, Texas to create a prioritization and visioning document to continue recovery efforts following Hurricane Ike. Drew is currently working on a Masters degree in Urban and Environmental Planning at the University of Virginia.
