After participating in the 2002 & ’03 deep wilderness treks in Alaska, Pete was awarded the first leadership action project pilot in 2003. He started Tamarack Media with Bill Finnegan, his classmate at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. Tamarack’s mission is to draw from a network of environmentally invested media professionals to produce websites, videos, and print materials for clients that include schools, nonprofit organizations, foundations, and green businesses. Tamarack currently employs a team of 10 producers, designers, and interns working collaboratively on some 50 projects. Pete remains actively involved with Wild Gift as a board member, mentor and part-time communications director. Pete also serves on the boards of the Vermont Land Trust, the Vermont Natural Resources Council, and the DREAM Program.
