Applications are now being accepted for the TogetherGreen Conservation Leadership Fellowship.  One of our Wild Gift Alumni, Alli Rogers, is currently serving as a 2011 TogetherGreen Fellow.  "There is a great synergy between TogetherGreen and Wild Gift," says Alli.  "I'm thankful for the opportunity to be able to work with two incredible organizations on my project this year."  Alli's focus is developing creative resources to support women across the United States in sustainability initiatives.

The TogetherGreen Conservation Leadership Program invests in high-potential leaders, providing them with tools, resources, visibility, and a peer network to help them lead the conservation actions necessary to shape a greener, healthier future.  TogetherGreen is led by the incredible staff at Audubon and funded through a generous grant from Toyota.  40 Fellows from across the country are selected per class.  Benefits of the TogetherGreen Fellowship include:

  • Professional development focused on leadership, innovation, communications, conservation planning, outreach to diverse audiences, and evaluation in a creative and supportive learning environment;
  • Financial support to attend a five-day Leadership Institute and a three-day, follow-up Leadership Retreat, including costs for travel and lodging;
  • A $10,000 grant to your organization to help support a creative Conservation Action Project,  as well as additional training opportunities;
  • Networking opportunities to meet and collaborate with other TogetherGreen Fellows and opportunities to establish strong professional connections with Audubon staff and other leaders in the conservation field;
  • Opportunities for public recognition through media and web promotion.

Wild Gift is generously serving as the fiscal sponsor and mentor for Alli's TogetherGreen project.  "I highly recommend the TogetherGreen Fellowship experience to everyone in the Wild Gift community," says Alli.  "I'd be happy to connect with anyone interested in applying to answer any questions."
