1.  A mandatory, three-week trek in deep wilderness is a cornerstone of the Wild Gift opportunity.  The trek will not require prior experience in technical mountaineering, climbing or in the use of special equipment such as crampons, ropes, harnesses, or ice axes. That said, the trek will be physically challenging. The rigors will include navigating rugged, steep terrain off-trail while experiencing a healthy taste of altitude and inclement weather conditions.
